Images from the Freydal Tournament Book, an incomplete allegorical account of emperor Maximillian I’s own participation in a series of jousting tournaments in the guise of the tale’s eponymous hero, Freydal, early 16th Century.   An image of a weather vane with a horse from a photograph taken in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Canada.
