R.A.T. is excited to present HEIST!, a group show bringing together works by current studio holders Frankie Ashworth, Kem Frances, Olivia Margaret Frances, Holly Marsden, Molly Hooper and Matilda Reid. HEIST! will take over the painting studio which has been temporarily transformed into a gallery space.
“We moved into the studio in October of 2024 and stole the name R.A.T. from the only piece of furniture we weren’t allowed to get rid of, an antique Ratner safe so heavy it takes at least three of us to push it across the gallery floor. Left behind without a key, the safe remains unopened; whatever it contains predates our landlord’s ownership of the building.”
